Online authenticator compatible with Google Authenticator

Google Authenticator implements RFC 6238 TOTP: 6 digits, 30-second steps, SHA-1, Base32 secrets. 2fakey uses the same defaults, so codes match when the secret matches.

When a browser tool helps

• You are on a computer and the phone authenticator is not nearby.
• You are testing enrollment and need a second generator.
• You want labeled accounts saved on this browser via a cookie, then generate with one click.

When to keep using the app

Phone authenticators and hardware keys keep secrets off a shared PC. Cookie storage is convenient on a personal device; it is a poor fit for a public computer. See privacy.
